OREGON

Leaving Idaho as another state visited, we crossed  over the border into Washington and treated the kids to a once-a-year (if that) breakfast at IHOP before heading south to Oregon.

(College Girl discovered coffee at college)

(Eagle Scout discovered coffee in the fellowship hall with friends at church.)

Into Oregon we entered so that everybody but me could check this state off their lists.  We also used the time to grocery shop and do laundry before settling down for a windy evening at the RV park along the Columbia River.

Part of the fun of being in Oregon for the kids, thanks to College Girl's idea, was having some Oreo cookies (another once-a-year, if any, treat) as a play on words for the state.  Yes, the OREOS are GONE!

  2. I love your blog!! It's fun to "travel" along with you, and the pictures are a great bonus! I'm going to read back a little everyday and "see" the states with y'all! (I deleted my first comment because I accidentally hit Post and hadn't finished yet!)
