Pre-NYC

We took two days to travel to the campground where we had reservations, but the first day was a day of relaxed travel.  We left home when we were ready, took a non-I-95 route north that was less congested and more scenic, and then searched for a campground as the dinner hour drew closer.

Enjoying the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley as we traveled through Virginia, I needed to search for a campground since the afternoon was ending.  Unbelievably, I found ONE through an online search (in an area that I thought would be full of campgrounds) that stated it was not far off the highway we were traveling.   I called ahead and was told there was room for us. What a relief!   Luckily, we had a choice of sites ... either to the left or to the right of a unique campground landmark:

You can tell that we preferred the view of the old, abandoned car from the left side of our camper.
(Mechanic Man tells me that it is a Chrysler Newport from the 1960s.)

If you are interested in making reservations here, let me know.  You may enjoy the view from the RIGHT side of your RV.  ;-)
