ALABAMA

None of us have been to this state before, so it was our first destination.  It seemed to take forever to get here ... with a late start in the day and a GPS that was actually smarter than we are, it turned out to be a 12-hour day, which is more than we planned.  (I know you're wondering about the GPS ... did you know that when you enter a new time zone, Garmin GPS actually figures out the time of arrival in the NEW time zone?  We thought it was still on East Coast time when it was truly on Central Time.  Sooooo, we were tricked as to how long until we were REALLY going to be there!  Oh well ...)

After spending weeks and months (all right, a year or so!) downsizing and preparing to sell the house, we told the boys we would do something fun.  So they chose US Space and Rocket Center .

Great static displays

Fun rides that only the youngest child rode!

Hands-on Learning!

Great photo opportunities!

A blessing that we weren't expecting was that they have an RV Park on the property, and the cost is extremely low.   Now we are checking with all our planned attractions to see if that is an offered perk.

Heading west next .... maybe this song will soon be out of my head!

  1. Cute pictures! Emily and Nathan love those rides. I can not stomach them any more. Too old :(
